Are you at the “Top of Your Game” providing custom solutions to your customers? As a SunGard iWorks Sales Executive you will consult with senior finance officials (typically CFO) in the Reinsurance industry to understand their business needs and provide solutions utilizing the features of our premiere Reinsurance Administration software solutions - ProCede and ProSume. Our approach to reinsurance is based upon over 20 years of providing reinsurance solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to sell a multi-functional software product that is an effective, automated, management tool for a broad range of reinsurance functions.
iWORKS Reinsurance Administration Solutions support the reinsurance process for general insurance carriers and professional reinsurers. These global solutions are designed to meet the demands of the reinsurance professional regardless of geography and complexity.
ProCede is a ceded, assumed, and retrocessional reinsurance administration solution supporting general insurance (P&C) and professional reinsurance carriers. ProCede handles premiums and losses with reinsurers and tracks receivables and payables; deliver accounting, credit control, and the production of management and regulatory reports for audit requirements and compliance.
ProSume automates assumed treaty and facultative business processing to increase control, efficiency and productivity. By streamlining processing, maximizing collections and easily managing reporting and compliance; ProSume supports the full range of functions, including submission registration, contract administration, premium and claims processing, cash management and open balance settlement, accounts payable/receivable reporting, retrocession processing, and inter-company pooling
With your proven ability as a consultative solution sales person at the CFO level, you will develop new revenue streams from license, maintenance and professional services (about 3 mid-sized deals per year to meet annual sales quota of approximately $1.2 Million USD). Your clear understanding of your customers through in depth research and analysis of their business needs will be the key. Skillful demonstration of the SunGard Reinsurance Administration solution that solved business needs is fundamental to closing a sophisticated and astute customer through a long sales cycle.
The sales territory requires substantial travel throughout North America (US, Canada, Caribbean) – 50% or more – with the potential for International travel. You will have the choice to work from you home-based office or from our Armonk, New York office.
What you will do:
Manage sales activity and drive new business revenue into Reinsurance sector in the North America territory. Develop leads and relationships at the highest levels of prospects, Organize and spearhead complex sales processesOrganize and drive sales support to successful close Lead negotiations and contract preparation. Utilize strong verbal and written communications skills with a keen ability to ask, listen and develop the right solutions and responses to gain trust and respect.
Skills and Experience you will need:
Bachelors Degree is required. CONSULTATIVE professional with track record in outside sales (“hunter”) 10 or more years of sales experience to the “insurance industry”. -- reinsurance accounting or underwriting experience in Financial Services or Insurance Industry with somewhat less direct sales experience will be considered as well. Related industry experience (technical or software sales support, client services, consulting, etc.) will also be consideredProven self starter, capable of focusing simultaneously on multiple tasks and Excellent verbal and written communication skills ESSENTIAL. Must have dynamic “intellectual curiosity” to analyze client’s needs in depth and the enthusiasm to create custom solutions to fulfill their needs.
