Position Summary:
As a member of a regional sales team the Sales Support Representative (SSR) works closely with the Regional Sales Director to provide up-to-the-minute sales analytics to help manage the team’s selling efforts as well as working directly with the team’s Account Managers to assist in the logistical aspects of tracking and processing orders. This is a fast-paced selling environment that will draw on your excellent communication skills, your ability to multi-task and perform under pressure, your superior data analytics skills and ability to work in a team environment. The successful candidate will possess expert level Excel skills, be very organized, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and have an internal strong sense of urgency.
A successful Sales Support Representative contributes to the achievement of the Regional sales objectives by:
· Working directly with the Regional Sales Director to achieve the sales goals for the Region by providing timely sales analytics regarding pipeline analysis, forecasting and sales attainment.
· Participating in quarterly and annual sales planning by preparing and supporting the delivery of specific sales coverage and forecasting analytics.
· Tracking on a weekly basis all business opportunities which will require sales support and highlight any process issues in writing as determined by priority.
· Working with Order Management, Legal, Finance, and the Business Units throughout each selling quarter to resolve open items and close deals/orders, ensuring all necessary paper-work is in place prior to deal closure
· Supporting the end-of-quarter sales effort by working from our San Jose, California head office the last week of every quarter to assist in driving all sales orders through our internal processing.
Knowledge & Skills:
· University degree in business administration, or marketing.
· 1-3 years experience in marketing/sales support role.
· Superior knowledge of MS Excel and data analysis.
· Proficient in MS PowerPoint
· Experience with CRM systems.
· Good knowledge of standard sales processes and methodologies, specifically as they relate to the software industry.
· Willingness to travel to San Jose, California office on a quarterly basis.
