Peopleclick’s technology, consulting expertise and support give companies the vision and flexibility to strategically manage all of their talent resources –-whether they are salaried, hourly or contingent.The Security Engineer monitors, evaluates, and maintains systems and procedures to safeguard internal information systems and databases. Also researches, recommends, and implements changes to enhance systems security and educates and communicates security requirements and procedures to all users and new employeesThe successful candidate will be part of a security team that is responsible for maintaining an effective security structure around multiple production and development environments. Duties will include but not limited to system / user audits, corporate network and firewall administration, policy documentation, patch management, system monitoring and some administration. This position also plays an intricate role in the business process by assisting with RFP responses, application and system design reviews, customer security surveys, and performing or facilitating security assessments.This is a day shift position, but occasional to moderate after hours work is required.Position Requirements:Education:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. If no degree, equivalent experience (1 year of experience = 1 year of college) will be considered.Fully-qualified level handles moderately complex to complex problems and has latitude for independent judgment. Minimum five (5) years of security / network engineering experience that includes maintaining current systems and researching, developing, and implementing enhancements. Good knowledge of system security procedures. Good organizational, time management, and project management skills. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective communication skills.
