Systems Management Resources, LLC owns The Blogcast Repository website (www.blogcastrepository.com). The Blogcast Repository is a Microsoft community website that shows IT professionals “how to” videos rather than providing documents to teach people how to learn a product. While our website has been online for 3 years, we have always had free content posted by people who want to share their passion for Microsoft technologies. We are building a new website to include a section called Level 5 IT Guides. The Level 5 section will be a premier section of the site where we will be selling subscriptions for people to watch your videos. The new website goes live on April 18th, 2008.

We are looking to hire IT professionals as independent contractors to make videos on various topics. We call our contractors “Subject Matter Experts” (SME’s) and we have expectations of our candidates.

1. You must have at least 5 years experience in your area of expertise.

2. Microsoft Certified Professionals are preferred, but not required.

3. The more videos you make the more potential for income to you. We encourage you to have a blog on our site to get your name out to the community to help promote your guide.

4. You should be dedicated to the process and be willing to follow through with the commitment.

SMR, LLC is looking for anyone with experience with new Microsoft technology. Some examples of what we are looking for are SQL 2008, Windows Server 2008, System Center products, Vista, Office 2007, SharePoint, Exchange 2007 and just about anything Microsoft related including PowerShell and programming. There are a lot of video training sites on the Internet; we are looking to be different. We want the in depth technical content and the tough things other sites don’t show. Compensation:

This is a part time, work from home scenario. You can make the videos in your free time and upload them to the website. We require a minimum of 10 videos before we would publish your guide. Once published, you get 50% of the subscription rate. Example, if 100 people in a month subscribe to your guide, you would get $800. If 1,000 people subscribe to your guide, you would receive $8,000. The better your content, the more people will want to subscribe. We pay on the 5th of each month and you get to see the report of how many people subscribed. If you register your MCP ID with SMR, LLC, we will increase your percentage to 60% of each person who subscribes. People who subscribe to your guide will be billed every month until they cancel. If you make new videos each month, you stand a greater chance of the subscriber continuing to pay and not cancel.

The Blogcast Repository has a worldwide view from 211 countries and about 1.5 million page views a month. We will be promoting the new Level 5 section at the Microsoft Management Summit 2008 in Las Vegas at the end of April. There is already a lot of exposure to this project and we need experts to share their knowledge in videos. While this job is not a full time position, it most certainly will provide you with a very nice extra income and also get you exposure around the world.
