Big Fish Games has several lines of business including distribution of downloadable casual games, ad supported free online web browser games, game development studios, e-greetings, and most recently a social networking site for casual game players for share opinions, invite friends, and earn cash for games their friends buy.

Big Fish Games, Inc. is currently looking for a Senior Staff Accountant.  If you are highly motivated, eager to advance your career, and looking to work at a fun and energetic company, please read on.  This is a new role within our Finance team and will report directly to the Controller.





Areas of responsibility and ownership will include:Month end close which includes entering journal entries and balance sheet reconciliationPreparing executive financials and bank compliance documentsResearch accounting issues and outstanding reconciling itemsAccounting for developer royalties and reconciling outstanding paymentsPoint person for year end auditDevelop and/or streamline accounting, finance and other business practicesMonthly and quarterly tax accruals and preparing tax payments Other special projects, which will come up frequently


Skills, attributes and qualifications you should bring to the table:




We are looking for a highly qualified and motivated candidate who has a mastery of accounting and finance skills; is proven to work really well with other people; has strong computer skills and clearly demonstrates job ownership.  Other key areas of expertise:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required3-5 years of progressive experience in accounting (either public or private practice)CPA preferredExperience with state and local tax filingsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsTeam player, strong communication skills and ability to work in an ever-changing environment
