Senior Analyst International Tax

This position is an integral part of the International Tax Team and will be involved in a variety of international tax planning and compliance projects. This person will have primary responsibility for the tax planning and compliance matters of the Form 1118, Production Activity Deduction, and foreign tax credit maintenance. Responsible for 861 allocations and apportionment for the Form 1118. This includes analyzing and eliminating intercompany transactions, apportioning foreign branches using headcount for apportionment, collecting foreign tax schedules from foreign subsidiaries, and tying out the Corporate Tax International to domestic numbers. The position also includes making check requests and wire transfers to foreign governments. Applying for certificates of residence to ensure treaty benefits. Also responsible for dividend tracking and dividend account reconciliation and making journal entries during the year to clear foreign tax accounts. Responsibility for the planning and maintenance of the Microsoft Production Activity Deduction. This includes quarterly and annual calculations. Assist the Controversies group with the Internal Revenue Service and various state department exams of ETI, 936 and foreign tax credit calculations. This position will play a significant role in coordinating with FIT, the Tax Controller and corporate accounting group with regard to the tax data warehouse and will be required to develop a working knowledge of Microsoft financial tools including MARS, MS Sales and SAP in order to gather financial information for the U.S. tax filings and international tax analysis. Requirements: The ideal candidate will have a BS/BA in Accounting with 2+ years experience in a Big 4 firm or a large corporation with a concentration in international taxes. A CPA or J.D. is preferred. Preference may be given to a candidate with an LLM or MST. Industry experience a plus. This position requires strong interpersonal, communications, and analytical skills.
