Senior Application Definition Analyst

id8 is a rapidly growing consulting firm dedicated to effective and innovative application definition and design, using a revolutionary prototype-driven approach. We are looking for UX Professionals / Information Architects / UI Designers and Creative Business Analysts to become id8's Senior & Lead Application Definition Analysts.



Roles & Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the design and creation of interactive, high fidelity prototypes of complex web applications using iRise, a visual prototyping tool. We will provide extensive training and on-the-job mentoring to make you the best in a rapidly growing field.



You will work directly with project stakeholders and end users to develop functioning prototypes that are suitable for demonstrating interaction design, conducting usability testing, and communicating requirements to development teams and executive sponsors.



Project responsibilities may also include:
Design and implement highly usable interfaces, working with product managers, subject matter experts, developers, and/or project managers Produce highly functional and realistic prototypes to effectively test and communicate designs Work with project stakeholders and subject matter experts to validate designs and iterate on findings Conduct prototype review sessions with stakeholders to validate requirements and generate feedback Conduct end user testing to evaluate user experience and uncover usability issues Distribute prototypes to stakeholders, collect and analyze feedback

Preferred Experience and Skills
In addition to the above-mentioned general abilities, you should be able to demonstrate at least some of the specific skills and areas of experience listed here:
Experience designing highly usable interfaces Experience with user-centered design methodologies Strong information and interaction design experience Experience developing conceptual models, flowcharts, prototypes, style guides, and/or graphic interface mockups Strong visualization and presentation skills Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS design capabilities Demonstrated ability to work in a team-based environment Excellent cross-team collaboration, communication, written and organizational skills Ability to meet ambitious deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule Strong skills in prototyping and designing effective solutions to complex business problems Experience conducting usability testing and analysis Hands-on coding, scripting, and/or DBA experience Experience with iRise Studio, Flash or Axure Experience designing and/or developing Web 2.0 applications

We will also teach you how to implement our proprietary Application Definition and Design methodology, which radically improves project outcomes by reducing risk, fostering innovation, promoting higher standards of quality, and ensuring user acceptance and adoption.



Compensation and Incentives
We offer a highly competitive compensation and benefits package with multiple performance-based bonuses. This is a ground-floor position in a rapidly growing business; opportunities for advancement are unlimited.



Travel Requirements and Policies
As a consultative company in a cutting-edge field, we generally go wherever the opportunities are, and we will expect you to do the same. But unlike most consulting firms, we recognize the difficulty and inconvenience of travel. Our unique travel policies aim to minimize the need for travel and fairly compensate employees when they do travel. A generous travel bonus, awarded monthly to employees based on the number of hours worked onsite. Travel engagements are usually limited to 4 days onsite per week. A sliding rate scale for clients, charging more per hour for work performed onsite than work performed remotely (in addition to travel expenses), giving clients a strong incentive to adopt remote working arrangements. Remote work can be performed from any broadband-connected location.
