Quest Software, headquartered in Aliso, Viejo, Calif., can be found in offices around the globe and at www.quest.com MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform advanced monitoring, hardware, software and operational support of Clarify applications in a 24 x 7, on-call, information technology environment. Sr. Developer role with the ability to also manage development projects to successful completion while acing as the Technical Lead on the project. Create technical specifications and maintain and distribute project schedules for complex projects. Manage and communicate with vendors and end users to resolve complex issues. Manage post-release support and ongoing enhancements to the project. Recommend, create and implement IS Development policies, standards, and procedures for development and implementation of internally developed enhancements and interfaces. Recommend utilization of tools (Quest and others) to support development, implementation, and ongoing support of the system. Provide mentoring for IS Development staff. Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution of very complex application, and interface issues. Create, and maintain extensions to standard Clarify functionality. Interface with all other team members to ensure smooth operation, and integration of internally developed systems. Participate in training activities as applicable. Maintain current knowledge of application development techniques. Meet with other IS organizations to discuss operational issues, technology overlaps, etc. Adhere to all Quest and Information Services policies and procedures. Perform all other tasks as assigned or required. TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: Must have 4+ years of experience and ability in leading the design, development and implementation of solution enhancements on Clarify thin & thick client environments 2+ years of hands-on configuration and customization experience with Clarify thin client, Clarify thick client, Clarify eSupport. Experience with Clarify Integration Gateway would be a plus. Ability to translate business requirements to Clarify technical requirements and specifications. Experience with Clarify software components installation B.A./B.S. in CS/CIS/IS/MIS or related field or equivalent required. Must be able to define detail design specifications, and develop long-term plans to meet project objectives. Ability to design, code, test, debug, document and maintain Clarify applications. Must be able to work on several phases of systems design and implementation for multiple projects simultaneously.
