POSITION: Senior DVR Computer Technician

Compensation is hourly rate with some overtime pay, bonus opportunity and pre IPO stock options.

RESPONSIBILITIES:Assemble, troubleshoot & repair PC components (motherboard, RAM, hard drive, power supply etc.) Load & configure Windows XP on PC / DVR Load & configure DVR software on PC Install PC / DVR at customer sites in DFW area Lay cable, climb ladders (~16 foot) and operate lifts (~30 feet) Mount, orient and focus video security cameras (will train) Train customers on proper usage on DVR software Work with customer IT / Networking staff to open firewall ports Setup wireless networks to operate video security equipment Help architect video security solutions for salespeople Oversee low voltage contractor cabler(s)

 

REQUIREMENTS:Strong MS Office software skills in MS Word, Excel & PowerPoint Strong written communication and verbal presentation skills Strong computer keyboarding skills Strong experience with large power drills, crimpers and other power tools Technical competence in MS Windows XP Operating System, learning new software quickly, networking and firewalls Strong computer / DVR troubleshooting abilities Not a networking job, but networking skills a strong plus Strong customer presence - to train customers on DVR software Ability to teach other techncians how to install video security systems Possess self starter, quick study, interpersonal flexibility & critical thinking skills A+ and Network certification a plus Can lift 50 pounds, walk up & down stairs, climb a ladder, have a current & valid drivers license with current insurance Work Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm with some overtime & flextime

 

Candidates must pass a detailed background check, driving record check, and drug test.
