Senior Connectivity Developer

Our client is one of the top global investment banks.  The group you will join provides critical connectivity solutions firmwide, typically (although not exclusively) through the implementation / utilization of middleware.  The group both develops these critical systems itself and also provides expertise to other development groups throughout the bank regarding complex connectivity and middleware issues. The responsibilities of the new hire will include:Design and develop system integration solutions which will provide seamless connectivity among front, middle and back office applications. Assist development groups cross-business with the ongoing migration from legacy middleware platforms to the Tibco RV middleware infrastructure. Design and build pilot implementations of RV-based trading systems. Perform comprehensive functionality and performance tests for new Tibco software. Integrate applications into our architecture and further enhance them as part of the firm's ongoing Global Connectivity initiative.

Requirements:At least 5 years experience building large scale systems in either C++ or Java on either Unix (preferred) or NT platforms. At least 3 years in depth, hands-on experience with Tibco RV. B.S. in Computer Science


Preferred Skills:Expertise with both C++ and Java would be ideal. Experience on both Unix/Linux and NT platforms would also be ideal. Some database experience would be desirable. Experience with transactional client/server applications. Experience with sockets and multi-thread programming highly desirable. Prior experience with systems integration would be extremely beneficial. Some knowledge of FIX would be useful. Knowledge of SQL. Prior Investment banking experience preferred.The compensation for this opportunity will be commensurate with the experience level of the successful candidates. For a senior candidate the base could approach or potentially exceed the $150K range to attract stars, with an additional bonus potentially taking the overall comp package over the $250K range. Perhaps equally important will be the opportunity to work in a stimulating environment on strategically significant applications, with a top technology team offering significant growth potential.
