Senior Consultant - Web Services Professional Services

Description

We are seeking a highly-qualified, senior-level consultant to take the lead technical role in web development and deployment engagements built around our Rhythmyx enterprise content management solution.

 

Ideal candidates will have a proven track record of successfully managing and participating in enterprise-class, web development projects.  Senior-level consultants need a strong customer focus, as well as a solid grounding in the relevant technologies.  Leadership, communication skills, and the ability to mentor clients and junior team members is a necessity.  Past customer-facing professional services experience in either a software firm or consultancy is desirable.

 

Responsibilities

· Work with customers in a team environment to define business and technical needs

· Develop and document project plans and implementation strategies

· Design and oversee Rhythmyx CMS implementations

· Mentor and guide customers through the CMS implementation process

· Manage and carry out integration with other software platforms and environments

·  Participate in, and lead when necessary, business process analysis and Information architecture efforts

 

Required/Desired Technical Skills:

· Client-facing skills are a must

· Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills are required

· 5 to 7 years of Web application development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML/XSLT)

· Programming knowledge (JAVA, PERL, .Net)

· Scripting languages (JSP, ASP, PHP, etc)

· Database architecture, development, and administration (Oracle, MS SQL Server)

· Web and Application server experience (Apache, IIS, iPlanet, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere)

· At the senior level, experience with Content Management software and Enterprise Web Applications is highly desirable.

 

This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial contributor with superior client relations ability, leadership, project management and an up-to-date technical foundation in web development.  Significant professional growth and responsibilities will accompany success in this role at Percussion.

 

Candidates MUST live in the Boston area.

Full-time position with 50% travel.
