Title:

Principal/Senior Software Developer

Location: East coast preferred, work remote (no relocation required), travel as needed

 

Objective of Position:

The Developer will fill a role in Linium’s software integration team.  The ideal candidate will thrive in an environment characterized by its fast pace, rapid development, and its high level of collaboration within the delivery group.  This person will begin with improving and delivering Linium’s mobility solutions.  This role will grow into other delivery areas such as Linium’s Microsoft Sharepoint practice. 

 

The Mobile Suite solutions integrate to Service/Asset Management products with custom mobile interfaces tailored to the functional requirements of our customers.  These enterprise mobile solutions provide IT lifecycle tracking of physical inventory and on-demand auditing of IT assets.

Reporting Relationship:

Works closely with:  Business leaders, customers, and all development/IT resources.

 

Primary Accountabilities:

·  Quickly become familiar with the current applications

·  Provide architectural and development solutions to changing business needs and challenges.

·  Manage new and existing business systems to provide maximum value to the company and employees.

·  Provide strategic direction and technical management consultation for the various business units.

·  Accountable for all technical aspects of assigned projects including estimate, design, development, functional testing, and performance.

·  Ability to support more than one projects concurrently

·  Ability to learn and come up with creative integrations

 

Skill Set Requirements:

Must be passionate about technology and thrive in a rapidly changing environment, and enjoy working as part of a small development team.

 

·  Required

o Minimum of 4 years software development experience with large multi-tier commercial or enterprise-class applications.

o Experience with a reputable consulting company

o Extensive experience creating solutions to solve business needs.

o 3-5 years direct experience with all of the following technologies:

§  Microsoft .NET Framework (all versions)

§  ASP.NET, UI tools and methodologies

§  VB.NET, JavaScript, XML Web Services

§  Experience with mobility solutions

§  Windows architecture, configuration and management

§  US Citizen or Green Card

 

o Knowledge and experience in web design methodologies.

o Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to development staff, customers, and other non-technical stakeholders.

o Experienced technical with Sharepoint

o Experience with SDLC tools, including versioning control, scheduling, and defect management software.

o Experience with multi-browser support and development.

o Software QA / testing experience.
