Our technology team will have a direct role in continuous new product innovation and can expect broad and immediate application of their work at member institutions, including more than 2,500 of the country’s preeminent hospitals and healthcare systems. We are currently seeking a Senior Director of Engineering to manage the software development activity within our healthcare business intelligence (BI) unit. 

 

Senior Director, Engineering: Role in Brief

The Senior Director will lead the software engineering function by developing, releasing, and maintaining software applications to meet business needs.  This position represents an exciting opportunity to play a leadership role in one of the firm’s fastest growing divisions.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  Work directly with executive team, including VP of Engineering and  Executive Vice President of New Product Development, to define and achieve BI vision Build and manage a technical team, providing vision and structure for career development. Work closely with operations managers to define data acquisition, service provisioning, and hosting processes and required resources Provide team leadership by developing and prototyping our next generation of BI tools and products

 

Preferred Background:

·       Bachelor's degree with at least 7-10 years of  relevant experience with at least 5 years in BI leadership

·       A track record of successfully delivering commercial software products

·       Deep understanding of technologies and techniques used in delivering BI applications.  Experience delivering products through ASP desirable.

·       Experience in the healthcare IT domain highly desirable

·       Demonstrated ability to lead a highly capable development team

·       Analytic skills necessary to analyze member’s business and data requirements and relate them to product capabilities

·       Ability to effectively interact with senior leadership, business unit executives, and software development team to formulate solutions, estimate development costs, create project plans, and deliver products that meet strategic needs
