Senior & Executive Game Producers

Job Description: Do you have the creative vision, business acumen, game development and production experience to define, build and lead a world-class production team? The Xbox team is looking a dynamic Executive Producer to establish a world-class team who will own the creation and delivery of a portfolio of innovative social games for Xbox 360. The EP will be responsible for all aspects of production, from initial concept development through retaining world-class production capacity to delivering high-quality games that are on-time and on-budget. The game portfolio will be developed in conjunction with the design incubation team as well as internal Software and Hardware groups. Reporting to the Product Unit Manger, the EP must be a mix of creative thinker, pragmatic producer, and entrepreneur and have a great sense of what makes quality game experiences. The successful EP must be able to review concepts, writing and art at the earliest production stages and have a sense for what will make a hit game. Additionally, they must have proven experience interacting with production planning, technical teams, business groups and be able to sell their ideas to the highest levels of executive management. Major Responsibilities: ·  The EP will have full P&L and creative responsibilities for all titles and must actively manage the process to ensure commercial success of the products·  Create and implement a sustainable production group with an ongoing pipeline of innovate games·  Define, hire and manage a content development team consistent with the portfolio and business goals·  Ensure that all projects are aligned internally with all levels of the Xbox organization·  Maintain high level relationships with external developers to guarantee a great working relationship and on time, on budget delivery of titles·  Provide creative direction, indentify properties and concepts with the greatest potential and drive the team to successful launching of game experiences·  Act as the connecting point between management, business units, intellectual property partners and external development studios·  Manage internal pitch process and participate in senior levels “greenlight” and evaluation of all projects·  Review and revise the structure of the team in order to maintain the highest quality products and production efficiency.·  Collaborate to define roles and integration points with Product Unit Manager, peers and the Sparks incubation team·  Work closely with the Incubation team to incorporate creative solutions and experiences into the production titles·  Ability to travel both domestically and internationally - actual time estimated to be less than 20% Job Requirements: ·  10+ years of successfully shipping video games with a substantial portion of your experience on console games·  Deep experience with both internal and external game development and production·  Proven ability to blend creative, business and project management decision making·  A track record of defining, building and managing a world-class production group·  Established experience hiring and managing multiple external production teams that have successful delivered your products·  Excellent communication and presentation skills·  Proven track record of delivering successful products to the marketplace·  Ability to manage and work within ambiguity to reach a successful outcome·  A passion to innovate in games beyond the current successful genres·  Experience in building new business or franchises a definite advantage·  Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science or higher qualification·  Portfolio review is required Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
