Senior Finance Manager, US SMS&P

The SMS&P (Small and Midmarket Solutions & Partners) finance team in the US Sub is looking for a senior manager to partner with our Regional Vice Presidents and Area General Managers to drive revenue growth through business insight. You will have exposure to the full spectrum of Microsoft's commercial software, and will need to understand and articulate sales performance across multiple channels and segments. This job represents a near-perfect blend of reporting, analysis, control, process, and business partnering in an energetic and dynamic environment. Revenues in FY07 exceeded $4 billion. Responsibilities:• Ensure accuracy and validity in revenue based incentive compensation for field personnel by maintaining accuracy in headcount, revenue, and quota systems• Participate and lead in the annual planning process in revenue modeling and quota setting; this role has central responsibility for setting, maintaining, and controlling the revenue quotas for the field teams• Partner with a variety of leaders in SMS&P, including regional vice presidents, the corporate vice president, and various general managers to provide leadership and support on strategic initiatives for the segment• Provide regular and insightful revenue reporting: highlight trends, opportunities, risks and other business issues Basic Qualifications:• 7 years experience in financial planning & analysis roles of increasing responsibility (including management)• Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, economics or in another business field• Prior experience working with executives and high-level business partners• Willingness and ability to travel 10-25% Other/Preferred Qualifications:• Expert user of information worker & collaboration tools, including Microsoft Office, Sharepoint, etc.• Experience using databases (Access & SQL) to manipulate and analyze large quantities of data highly desirable• Experience working with sales teams a plus• Excellent problem solving and communication skills, and have a passion for customer / partner support• Demonstrated understanding of Sales Incentive Compensation• Knowledge of Microsoft Partner channel, volume licensing, and commercial products• Preferred location is Bellevue, WA Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
