Senior Image Scientist
Corporate Engineering and Analytical Sciences is a worldwide engineering organization within the Office of the CTO with experienced mechanical, optical, electrical, software, packaging, systems, project management engineers and technicians. The organization is dedicated to developing and applying high-end engineering competencies & skills to Kodak's applied research, advanced development, product design and subsequent commercialization of award winning products. The position for an Image Scientist in the Corporate Engineering and Analytical Sciences Group requires an individual experienced in imaging system analysis, imaging system architecture and implementation, customer workflows, and imaging algorithms. The individual will possess skills that allow for the characterization, optimization, integration and creation of imaging algorithms for consumer and professional applications. Further, they will be able to follow and progress multiple projects at varying levels of development, lead technical development projects, direct the work of support staff, and communicate results to technical and business representatives. Qualifications: Fundamental understanding of video processing, digital image processing, color science, and linear systems Fundamental understanding of image path design and architecture of digital products Fluent in Matlab, Labview, or similar development environment Demonstrated ability to identify algorithm opportunities, propose, and analyze solutions Demonstrated ability to use, characterize, and optimize the performance of imaging systems Good communication, computer, and presentation skills Organized, team member, willing to accept challenge and responsibility, able to act independently, flexible/versatile Strong inter-personal, presentation and writing skills Familiar with at least one programming language (C, C++, etc.) Demonstrated ability to integrate complex imaging algorithms Experience enabling multiple product line development Work with geographically dispersed teams.
