Software Engineers at Imprev are an integral part of the product team where they collaborate with Product Owners to deliver great solutions to our customers. Be a leading team member in the reimplementation and subsequent extensions of Imprev's on-line web applications.  Imprev’s platform is built on a variety of technologies including JAVA and C++ and is currently hosted on Linux.  Imprev developers must know how to refactor from other platforms (e.g. LAMP).  Duties also include C/C++, scripting, and sustainment engineering. Job Qualifications and RequirementsCompetence in at least one other modern language environment (e.g. C/C++)Must be familiar with operations best practices, including but not limited to disciplined Configuration Management and Release Management. Knowledge of ITIL is a real plusExperience with Agile development methods (SCRUM, test driven development) a huge plus.Must be familiar with software version controlGood communication skillsWorking knowledge of LAMP Web development a real plus

Note that Imprev employs small teams where members are expected to be comfortable assuming a variety of roles while being a specialist in a particular area.  Java Developers are specialist for the Java platform, distributed applications, threading, virtualization, and hosting environment design; but also are competent in at least one other language (e.g. C++) and with standards-base infrastructure technologies such as Linux, LDAP, SMTP, and messaging.  Java developers must be comfortable converting legacy code to “best practices” Java code and must be familiar with agile architectural principles.Technology Experience
