Senior Java Developer-

A local Tucson company is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Java Software Developer to join their team.  Candidates will be expected to provide technical leadership and occasionally directional leadership.  The successful candidate will also design, develop and support the client's software products, as well as:Analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programsUsing applicable programming language and technologies, writing code, completing programming, and performing testing and debugging of applicationsCompleting documentation and procedures for installation and maintenanceInteracting with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modificationsCreating and updating specifications detailing system design and enhancements to meet software requirements Providing technical expertise in researching, identifying, evaluating and developing supporting software systemsMay lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issuesInteracting with internal and external customers to evaluate product functional requirements and user experienceParticipating and supporting process improvement activities within the department and company-wide


REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor in related field, or significant industry experienceMinimum of 6 years of related experience, health care industry knowledge is highly desirableExperience with Java and J2EEKnowledge of:  .Net, VB6, Cobol, ColdFusion, Transact SQL, PL-SQL, RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2), AJAX, PowerBuilder, Integrated Development Environments (Eclipse, Visual Studio), Object-Oriented programming, source control management, MS Project
