D&B (NYSE:DNB), the leading provider of global business information, tools, and insight, has enabled customers to Decide with Confidence for over 160 years DNB’s User Experience Group is looking for a talented Senior / Lead Interaction Designer, with strong HCI and user-driven design background, to create practical, intuitive and innovative user interfaces for the next generation of our products.  S/he is responsible for providing clear direction from concept to implementation, accountable for the design output throughout the life cycle.  The Senior Designer leads design reviews, works closely with engineers, product managers and UE researchers, to uncover issues, vette constraints and refine requirements.  Good presentation skills are essential.   The Lead will also actively partner with our design team as we develop our Design Center of Excellence, through collaborative work on style guides, standards and specifications, mentoring and guiding junior designers, and generally becoming an active evangelist for user-centered design throughout our broader DNB team. DNB is an award-winning, well established company that consistently receives high marks in customer satisfaction.  We strive to produce UI’s that meet and exceed our user expectations.  This is a great opportunity to work in an agile small-company atmosphere, with big company support! Position Responsibilities -  Clearly translate requirements, and dissect complex workflows into  intuitive and simple designs-  Deliver user interface specifications that communicate design solutions, through work flow modeling, wire frames and style specifications-  Be accountable for design end-end, from concepts and prototypes to specific UI specifications and final implementation-  Collaborate effectively with designers, researchers, engineering, product management, marketing, and other team members-  Contribute strong leadership skills that help drive best outcome for stakeholders, resulting in others learning from you, and inspiring others to want to work with you-  Suggest solutions that optimize requirements and balance technological realities-  Leverage existing UI patterns and guidelines, and contribute to new ones-  Maintain and evangelize for consistency within UE guidelines and principles across all features-  Be up to date in UI technologies and their application, and how they influence both the design itself and the agility of the design-development process (use of IDEs, creating designs quickly to render functionally in prototypes, how to effectively collaborate with UI engineers)    Experience Required-  7+ years experience in interaction design for web and desktop applications-   2+ years in a lead role-  BA/BS degree in product/interaction design, human factors, graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of training and experiences-  Extensive knowledge and experience in user-centered design processes-  Leadership skills with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, and user research-  Expertise with in tools such as Vision, Fireworks, Photoshop, Illustrator-  Knowledge and design experience in UI patterns using Ajax, DHTML, Flash or other rich internet application technologies-  Proficient in a variety of methods to convey ideas and concepts (e.g. wireframes, prototypes, etc)-  Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator-  Creative problem-solver with the ability to work with a blank slate and inspire others-  Strong portfolio available for viewing Opportunity:· Lead role with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders, and engage juniors, to help you produce and communicate great designs for both platform widgets and new features — perfect for that next step in your career· Engage in a small company atmosphere that has big company support! Nice to have:  ·  Leadership experience in platform UI patterns, visual design skills At D&B we value the diversity of perspectives that result from a variety of life experiences: ethnicities, ages, sexual orientations, genders, and other factors.
