The Senior Manager of Technical Services is an integral part of the Framingham site management team and is responsible for the overall execution of technical localization work, and the supervision of the technical teams of 30 employees who oversee and execute this work.  Responsibilities also include the strategic aspects of technical production, such as addressing customer needs, driving execution models, and the financial performance of technical execution.

This position is part of the technical services team. This team is collectively responsible for developing localization solutions that meet client expectations for technical competency, process innovation, cost savings and quality. By analyzing customer requirements, you will identify market trends and opportunities to propose and deliver innovative, value-driven new solutions.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


• Supervise the technical line managers (Content and Engineering) and the technical architect(s) in their execution of projects and customer solutions.
• Establish goals and track progress for the entire technical team of 30+ individuals
• Set goals, establish KPIs and monitor progress for individual growth of direct reports
• Establish goals and monitor progress toward company, regional and site targets around technical execution models and costs
• Define and develop solutions that leverage Lionbridge capabilities to address client needs
• Coordinate the efforts of internal subject matter experts to present client solutions
• Guide development of proposals and pricing models for complex or innovative solutions
• Create financial models to substantiate the proposed solution.

REQUIREMENTS:


• 5+ years experience in localization/globalization, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong foundation in technical localization execution, including localization engineering, multimedia production and content localization
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills
• Excellent customer presentation skills
• Deep understanding of localization operational processes and technologies
• Deep understanding of customers' technical and business needs
• Strong business acumen and ability to see the “big picture”
• Excellent leadership skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships across all functions and lines of business
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent project management, technical and organizational skills
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions quickly and creatively

EDUCATION:


Bachelors Degree or equivalent

Master’s Degree in a technical field preferred.
