Senior Marketing Manager

While contributing to the development of our data warehouse capabilities, you’ll partner with marketing, sales, and IT groups, contributing to the design and management of our Marketing Data Platform strategy and Enterprise Data Warehouse infrastructure. This position will play a critical role in driving the evolution of Microsoft’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW), specifically the data platform and infrastructure to support Marketing’s business objectives. Position plays a key project management and analysis role throughout the life of the project. Primary activities include source system definition, analytical capability definition, scenario design, business analysis, requirements management and project management. Partner internally with key corporate and regional constituencies to achieve specified outcomes. Candidate must be flexible and comfortable in a rapidly evolving environment. Microsoft is seeking a Sr. Marketing Manager for the Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) program. This position resides within the Global Marketing Communication Group (GMG), which is part of the Central Marketing Group. GMG is the enterprise business sponsor for the creation of the global data warehouse. EDW’s objective is to support deeper understanding of customer and partner needs and behavior, delivering insights that increase revenue, improve “data” productivity, decrease engagement costs, and improve overall satisfaction. Sr. Marketing Manager is a subject matter expert in data warehousing, data management and/or business intelligence, with significant business or systems analysis experience on one or more data platform-related initiatives that have been successfully deployed to production. Responsible for understanding the desired marketing capabilities (to include analytics, reporting & measurement, and targeting) from marketing stakeholders and senior management, and facilitating and/or managing the translation into the EDW vision and requirements. Additional responsibilities include performing and managing analytical functions to support the decision making of various business units, marketing stakeholders and executive management. Should be familiar with data warehouse, data management and/or business intelligence industry standards, technology trends, global implications and best practices. Sr. Marketing Manager applies this knowledge to ensure management of opportunities and risks in development and maintenance of the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Minimum Requirements:5-7 years of related experience.Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field. Experience equivalent also considered.
