Senior Software Engineer - .Net Developer (ASP.Net, C#, SQL) - Contract   Are you a talented .NET contractor that wants to work on the most-trafficked and recognizable sites on the web? Monster seeks contract engineers with the skills and commitment to help us innovate and grow. Working on Monster’s Employer applications, including our eCommerce sites, you will work with some of the latest Microsoft technologies, such as .NET 3.0 and Ajax.   Essential Functions:   Design, develop, enhance, and maintain current and new .NET applications Responsibility for developing solutions for all tiers of the application; code-behinds, controls, middle-tier business components, database layer, etc. Ability to design and develop software in a group or independently. Lead technical design and development reviews. Investigate and analyze reported defects in a timely manner, and recommend solutions to these problems including code changes, data updates, or configuration modifications. Conduct and assist in unit and integration testing.   Qualifications:   At least 5 years of software development experience (non-academic) with demonstrable experience and fundamental understanding of the.NET Framework including C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, XML, web services, data structures and collections, caching, configuration, etc. Good fundamental and hands-on knowledge of with MS SQL Server Knowledge in OO development principles, multi-tier web application design and relational database principles Web-based development experience; involvement with large-scale, high-volume web-based systems is preferred. Solid understanding of design patterns Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Excellent analytical skills, understanding of project life cycles, and ability to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the software delivered matches the business communities’ needs.
