Senior Network Security Engineer

Protect the eBay community by contributing to a world-class network security team. Define and implement operational standards and guidelines for the management and maintenance of firewalls, Intrusion Detections Systems (IDS), monitoring systems and in-house developed data collection tools. Design new security measures and coordinate their implementation. Represent security interests on project teams. Provide technical leadership to team members and internal customers. Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems that impact technical infrastructure at the data, application, service, operating system, and network levels.  This particularly applies to investigating attacks and suspicious network activity. Participate in on-call rotation. Respond to critical incidents 24x7. Qualifications: Unix and/or Microsoft systems administration skills. Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, strong ability to analyze network traffic. Experience implementing and maintaining an enterprise-level firewall monitoring and management system. Experience managing intrusion detection systems and incident response workflow. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Strong sense of professionalism and ethics. Enthusiasm and interest in information security. Strong scripting / programming skills a major plus. Korean language skills.
