Senior Oracle Appliications DBA
Position #1.
Position: Senior Oracle Application DBA
Start date: April 1st week
Duration: 6 - 12 months

Position #2:
Position: Senior Oracle Apps DBA with Oracle Applications 11i (11.5.10.2) experience
Location: Santa Clara, CA
Start date: ASAP
Interview process: phone to onsite
Experience level: 7-10 years
Preference: Local to bay area consultants (US Citizen, GCs or H-1Bs open)
Position type: Contract to hire after 6 months
Position requirements:
Please note that this is a Production DBA position and hence hands-on experience is extremely necessary - More in to production support and enhancements.
8+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA, out of which at least 5-6 years should be as an Oracle Apps 11i DBA.
Hands-on experience with upgrading Oracle Databases to 10g and maintaining it on Linux is required.
Should have extensive knowledge of Oracle 10g new features especially in areas like Data pump, Performance monitoring and data collection.
Should have experience to do analysis and suggest steps to improve performance using newer Oracle 10g tools and functionalities.
Hands-on experience in upgrading 9i to 10g for Oracle Apps and supporting 11i on 10gR2 is required.
Hands-on experience on supporting Oracle Databases and Oracle Applications in a Linux Environment is required.
Experience with migration of Oracle Apps 11i from Solaris to Linux environment.
Hands-on experience in setting up and maintaining Oracle 10g Grid Control, with AMP, is needed.
Should have experience with setting up and using Load balancers for Oracle Apps.
Experience with administering Microsoft Cluster, SQL Server, Analysis Server and Reporting Services is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written & ability to work in demanding and fast paced environment
