Senior Product Developer - Back Office

Senior Product Developer – Back Office Misys TCM's Summit Product Center is looking for an experienced hands-on senior developer to lead and manage the development and enhancements projects in Back Office functional area.  This are includes all Back Office processing including collateral management, real-time cash and portfolio management, cash and security settlement, trade confirmation and matching, document processing and reporting. The applications are built on Summit’s three-tier architecture.  The projects scope includes server, business object and front end GUI development.  The functionality in Back Office supports processing simple and exotic Capital Market instruments within Interest Rate, Credit and Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income and Treasury divisions. Job Description: This position is for an experienced leader and hands on senior application developer, who will be able to manage projects, write complex specs and independently supervise the entire life cycle of product development in complex assignments. The applicant must possess strong analyzing, design, technical and problem solving skills.  The position offers an ideal opportunity to utilize and enhance your technical and business expertise to help grow the Back Office offering within Summit.   Lead projects from the requirements and specification phase through implementation and quality assurance. Lead design and problem solving meetings related projects in Back Office area. Focus on quality, ensuring continuous improvements of the product. Having gained an understanding of Summit product in it’s complexity, liaise with development teams on cross-functional design and development. Provide support on existing functionality in Back Office to development teams, business centers and sales groups. Job Requirements:  BS or MS in Computer Science or Engineering. A development and project management/leadership background with solid application building skills. Excellent communication skills; ability to present ideas to other developers and management. Ability to solve complex business problems. Be able to identify real problems when confronted with difficult scenarios and data. Solid C/C++ development on either Unix or NT (minimum 5 yrs). Object oriented design methodologies. Relational database knowledge and ability to perform database design and normalization. Expertise in financial business and a desire to expand knowledge. Desired Skills:  Back Office experience within a financial environment.
