Senior Project Manager
· The role of the Senior Project Manager is to assume responsibility for projects where the level of project management involvement exceeds the capabilities of a typical (mid-level) Project Manager role. The focus is on implementing search solutions through projects, and being the focal point of communication with major US businesses with high dependence on FAST to guide them.
· Strong sense of knowing how to lead a project team (as well as leading the customer) from early requirements phase to implementation to deployment to maintenance. The Management of Project Integration, Scope, Time, Cost, Quality, Human Resources, Communications, Risk, Procurement.
· The PM role may involve project management activities for multiple (approximately 2-4) mid-size projects simultaneously.
· 5+ years with enterprise software product companies (business developing software products for other major, ie Fortune 500, companies). Additionally, software development background. Internet applications and/or database knowledge is a plus.
· Build a project plan including both internal and external tasks, activities and dependencies. Develop risk management. Measure and manage the performance of the resources against the project plan. Report project status to stakeholders.
· Demonstrate negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills. Excellent expectation management skills. Strong communication skills and presentation skills. Strong writing skills; write Statements-of-Work, presentations, reports using Excel, Word, etc.
· Advanced technology understanding and background of using complex systems. Hands-on pluses are: UNIX/Linux, Python, C, Networking, HTTP, HTML, XML, SQL, setting up databases and search concepts.
Education, Certification, Training and/or Minimum Qualifications
· B.S. Computer Science, or proven 8+ years overall in software industry.
· The Senior PM should be familiar with Project Management methods and tools, Project Management Institute (PMI) and/or Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK). Benefits:
