Position Description:

FileMaker Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Apple Inc., is looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer. You will be a critical part of the core engineering team for our flagship product, FileMaker Pro. You will be responsible for planning and design of new functionality, architecture of core functionality and future planning for FileMaker Pro.In this position you will be expected to:- Participate in every stage of feature development from design and brainstorming through feature implementation, including fixing that last critical bug under a tight release deadline.- Work as part of a dynamic team collaborating closely with other engineers, engineering teams and product marketing.- Write code for both Macintosh and Windows platforms.If you are enthused about working on a world-renowned application, lovewriting clean code, enjoy being a team player, are not afraid of working ona large code base, applying your programming skills on complex problems andsharing your skills with other engineers, this is the job for you.Required Experience and Skills:- BS in Computer Science or equivalent- Excellent C++ skills- Thorough knowledge of Object Oriented development and design- Experience designing features- Proven record of completing projects on-time and to specification- Strong graphical interface design and implementation skills- Excellent verbal and written communications skillsAdditional Bonus Skills:- Mac OS X programming experience- MFC and .NET programming experience- Database development experience and understanding of basic DBMS concepts
