Senior Software Engineer - Embedded

POSITION SUMMARY  The Senior Software Engineer will Analyze, design, program, debug, modify and test embedded software for Ethernet networking products or analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, modifies and tests application software for the management of Ethernet based networking equipment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Programs and troubleshoots code for firmware (embedded code) applications involving analog and digital hardware and software operating systems or programs and troubleshoots code for application software developed to manage Ethernet based networking equipment..· Typically programs in machine language, assembly language and high-level languages (e.g., C, C++ for embedded, or Java for Network Management).· Works with or leads a team of software engineers designing and implementing Ethernet based networking products and Network Management applications. · Works with Embedded and Network Management System engineers and hardware engineers to provide a cohesive end-to-end product. · Prepares documentation for architecture, design and use of the software.
