Senior Software Engineer-Java

Description
In this position, qualified candidates would be part of Xythos' core server
development team. Responsibilities would include designing, implementing, and
maintaining functionality that is incorporated into the Xythos WebFile Server
platform. This work includes, developing end-user features and developer APIs, as
well as implementing and contributing to open, web-based standards for document,
content, and records management. As a member of the Xythos server development
team, you would be exposed to a broad range of technologies and standards
initiatives. Xythos is seeking exceptional individuals to accept the challenge of

Requirements
Skills and Knowledge:
An ideal candidate will have:
--5+ years of proven design and development experience using Java, C++, or other Object Oriented Development Environments
--Experience developing web-based, enterprise applications
--Experience developing applications that utilize relational databases to persist data
--The ability to assess functional and technical requirements, and synthesize them into detailed designs and code deliverables
--The ability to be a self-starter in a dynamic environment
--Strong oral and written communication skills
--Experience with shrink-wrapped/packaged software a big plus.

Academic:
BA/BS in engineering/computer science-related field, or equivalent.
