OptionCare’s services also include respiratory therapy and home medical equipment at some locations.Essential Skills:Designs the system and develops the application code to meet users’ needs while maintaining the most efficient use of Walgreens-OptionCare computing resources. Develop design for Walgreens-OptionCare developed and/or maintained software applications. Determine the technical feasibility and cost justification for new software applications. Assist in the development of user requirements and project plans for development effort / works closely with the Business Analysts to create High Level and Low Level Design documents. Design systems to meet the users' needs while maintaining the most efficient usage of Walgreens-OptionCare computing resources. Generate various documentation for the testing, verification, and validation of the systems as well as training for users and other software support staff. Integrate applications across Walgreens-OptionCare to ensure a homogeneous computing environment. Manage and Participate in the Development of OCI Applications. Assist in the development of project plans and the design, development, resource planning and identification of integration / implementation risks of these new customized software solutions. Participate in the development and maintenance of Walgreens-OptionCare applications. Perform extensive testing on new versions of application development products and tools to identify and resolve migration issues before these products are installed in the production environment. Work closely with Business Analysts and QA team members establishing protocols, processes and documentation standards that lead to an organized and efficient SDLC methodology.Qualifications:Minimum Requirements:• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,, Physical Science,,Engineering or equivalent • Minimum of 5 years of experience developing and validating sophisticated database applications in a regulated industry• Thorough design and implementation knowledge of relational DBMS systems (e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase), SQL, client-server development tools (e.g. PowerBuilder, Visual BASIC, Gupta, C#), 3GL programming languages (e.g. C, FORTRAN) and “web based” development tools (e.g. Eclipse, JBuilder, NetBeans) and environments (e.g. DHTML, Javascript, CSS and server-side Java based and JEE environments like WebLogic or WebSphere, PHP) • Advanced knowledge of at least one Operating System (Windows and/or UNIX)• Ability to create detailed project development, system testing and implementation plans• Strong oral and written communication skills • Strong project management skills Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in the Infusion therapy or Specialty Pharmacy industry.
