Senior Software Engineer – Professional Services

Spatial has an immediate opening for a Software Engineer working in our Professional Services group serving the North American region. This position reports directly to the Worldwide Manager of Professional Services.



The Professional Services Software Engineer will work with customers developing 3D applications who require assistance with the following services:Application designProgram architectureAPI (Application Programming Interface) implementation and code developmentWorkflow formulationProof-of-concept creation and prototypingSoftware testingCode reviewEnhancement development of new or optimized feature/functionalityTroubleshooting and root cause analysisDefect/bug fixing and work-around developmentConsultative training

Required Experience and Skills5-7 years minimum professional experience in a service oriented groupDirect software development experience using C++ (Windows, UNIX, Linux)Knowledge of CAD/CAM/CAE software or related 3D applicationsCommercial software development experience Good communication skills – written and verbalAble to operate in a Software Sales and Services team environmentPast experience working directly with customersEnd-user experience with commercial CAD applicationsAble to travel approximately 50% of the time and/or work remotely with customers via web conferencing, desktop sharing, email, and telephone

Desired SkillsKnowledge of "Geometric and Solid Modeling" and "Curves and Surfaces" principles is a plusWorking knowledge of ACIS, InterOp, or HOOPS products is a plus

EducationMinimum: BS in Computer Science or other Engineering Degree or equivalent professional experience
