Primary Duties

As an example of some of the major responsibilities of the position:

· Apply technical resource necessary to defines technical direction for complex problems emerging within our product solutions.

· Contribute well-structured documented plans and analysis of work breakdown and schedules.

· Contributes to market direction through the extension of technical feasibility and program level direction.

· Collaborates with other to resolve technical and managerial issues.

· Contributes to institutionalization of disciplines, process, and tools while adhering to the Building-B’s Development Process

· Works to minimize frequency and impact of blocking conditions.

· Works to assist the evolution of derivatives for alternate markets and alternate configurations

· Leads and mentors through example while maintaining a high level of integrity.

· Additional duties may be assigned from time to time as needed

 

 

Primary Technical Responsibilities

Major technical responsibilities of the position:

· Principally responsible for the development and technical integrity of software and/or system designs and tests supporting multimedia consumer devices.

· Establish the technical direction for code standards, development efficiency, and architectural integrity of all designs.

· Optimization and utilization of advanced technologies to form sound foundations for product evolution.

· Collaborates with senior and subordinates to explore new technical opportunities and directions.

 

 

Professional Expertise

Required

· Solid management skills and a history of leading technical teams

· Strong background in product development lifecycles

· Familiarity with media systems and media service delivery

· Background in software engineering in C or C++

 

Desired

· Background in new product development and multidiscipline hardware/software design

· Knowledge of project management techniques

· Familiarity with capability maturity model

 

 

Education / Training /Experience

· BS/MS (or equilivant) in engineering.

· Experience: 12+ years of mostly relevant experience.

· Highly developed technical skills are needed to perform the job.

· Ideally, will have 10 years of industry specific skills,

· Will have led/managed teams of engineers and computer scientists
