Senior Software Engineers

Senior Software Engineer:BeliefNetworks, Inc. is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to pioneer new techniques that can be practically applied on a massive scale. This position involves the creation, design, development and maintenance of one or more data analysis engines that help increase the contextual accuracy of the BeliefNetworks collaborative web services. The candidate must be willing to work in a dynamic environment that relies on extensive collaboration between team members using SCRUM development processes.  Identity Management, Commerce Transactional Coding and Security coding techniques highly desirable as this position is the information management cornerstone for the BeliefNetworks system architecture.   You will help architect and implement distributed consistency algorithms and wide-scale services oriented architecture.  If removing unreferenced entities or self-generating peer to peer systems interest you then this is your future.  Qualifications: 5-10+ years of industry experience with quantifiable commercial products. Start up experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree M.S. Preferred from an accredited institution Fluency in one or more of: Java, C++, (JAVA Eclipse preferred) Familiarity with large scale systems and advanced networking caching techniques. Expertise in data structures, algorithms, and complexity analysis. P2P and Mesh coding a plus. Experience building scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems. Knowledge of best practices for implementing systems that run 24x7 with 99.99% + availability requiring minimal to no human intervention. Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast paced environment. Developing server-side data analysis engines for one or more distributed N tier applications with real time data feeds. Unit testing all written code and providing testing support to Quality Assurance engineers. Experience with/exposure to the machine learning problem domain. Experience with or exposure to text mining and information retrieval a plus. Programmatic access to SQL, either MySQL or Postgres, via Java. Experience working with server teams and performance tools to streamline application performance in client and server components. Excellent planning, analysis and estimation skill. Strong project management skills, sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
