The Search & Advertising Technology Group is responsible for providing solutions to end users, advertisers, and publishers for all aspects of advertising. Within this group the ad-serving team is responsible for building highly scalable and sophisticated serving systems that deliver billions of high-quality ads every day. Job Responsibilities • Design and implement the advertising “front-door” --- the entry point for ad serving and instrumentation. • Work as part of a team responsible for this overall effort. • Work with product managers and other engineering teams to understand requirements, interfaces, and various touch points. Minimum Job Qualifications (these are minimum qualifications REQUIRED for this position) • Excellent C/C++ programming skills. • Knowledge of web services and scripting. • Strong technical background that includes o Development in C/C++ in a UNIX environment o UNIX network programming and system internals • Strong communication skills. Preferable Job Qualifications • 5+ years of commercial software development MS in CS (or equivalent). • Building high-performance, scalable, 24x7 systems. • Knowledge of Apache internals. Yahoo!
