Senior Systems Analyst I, Information Technology - Participations & Residuals

Defines business process, business requirements with client areas, functional requirements, test plans and scripts for new applications; works with technical staff to determine the ideal technical solution.Responsibilities to include, but not limited to:* Manages the preparation and execution of full product test in all environments* Authors, reviews and executes Test Approach and Strategy, Test Cases, Test Scripts with Business Analyst and QA teams* Defines document and evaluate the current business functions and information needs with a strong focus on process design, data conversions, reports and fit/gap analysis* Authors and reviews functional and technical design specifications * Tracks resolution of change management items such as system defects, enhancements and user tasks* Takes an active role in the implementation of a system through ongoing implementation support and post-conversion support* Functions collaboratively as part of a fast-paced, customer oriented team and perform effectively as independent producers under broad management direction* Responsible for reporting processes and project deliverables, as well as the configuration & implementation of the system module and its day-to-day management and support* Works with the business client to design improvements to the business processes or to re- engineer the processes in order to achieve increased efficiency and effectiveness* Creates specifications and works with programming team and project lead to coordinate every aspect of an implementation* Provides input to Project Leader or Project Manager for performance appraisals; recommends skill development and assists with recruiting new employees* Interfaces with many layers of management and support personnel throughout Paramount Pictures' local and International offices, if applicable* Supports the design specifications and assign programming and testing to junior staff* Assists the Project Leader or Project Manager in developing and maintaining project work plans, and in meeting project expectations regarding completion on time and within budget* Provides work direction or technical assistance to more junior project team members and monitors their performance* Works with Information Processing and Systems Planning staff, other systems development teams, and outside vendors, where appropriate, to plan and schedule required resourcesQualifications:Basic qualifications:* Strong knowledge and experience with Participations and Residuals business process and systems are required* Minimum of five years experience in a related position/system assisting a large client base is required* Minimum of three years experience in systems implementation, configuration and integration is required* Advanced application software skills including MS Office applications, and knowledge of relational databases (MS Access, SQL Server) are highly desired, especially in the area of Data Conversion* Background in Project Management and/or Customer Service is preferred* Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science is preferred* Background in Entertainment Finance is preferredDesired skills:* Knowledge and working experience implementing NBC Universal's PARIS System or similar systems* Superior communication skills in working with technical and non-technical people and the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships among all levels of an organization* Able to work independently and to prioritize tasks effectively* Work well in a team environment* Can work with minimal supervision* Able to mentor or guide the work of other staff engaged in similar functions.* Able to solve most issues and/or challenges independently* Flexibility and expediency in learning new modules as required* Desire and ability to develop professionally, both by learning from and sharing knowledge with co-workers* Informed about the state of computer technology in the entertainment industryEligibility requirements:* Interested candidates must submit a resume/CV online to be considered * Must be willing to submit to a background investigation* Must be able to show eligibility to work in the United StatesParamount Pictures is an Equal Opportunity EmployerSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Hollywood, CAJob Number: 5306Company URL: http://www.paramount.com/careers
