Position Summary

Software AG, a leading provider of business integration software is continuing to expand our team. We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Analyst/Programmer who will develop, enhance, and maintain corporate information systems; working on all phases of development from analysis through design, coding, testing, and implementation. These systems provide timely access to data so that strategic and operational decisions can be made by management. This job works within a team responsible for delivering next-generation enterprise applications in support of core business processes.

Essential Job Functions

Develops requirement specifications, analysis document and design documents for new and existing corporate information systems.

Conducts walkthroughs and team reviews of all documents.

Writes program code, performs configuration and/or customizations to existing corporate information systems across a wide range of technologies.

Develops test plans for testing system modules and integration testing. Participates in system and user testing and system implementation.

Provides assistance to users in areas such as how to use a particular system, identifying and resolving problems.

Provides input to the project manager for use in developing project plans.

Evaluates new products and assists in the build or buy process for technical recommendations.

Acts as a liaison with business users to understand to define business requirements and identify opportunities for improving current processes.

Performs proprietary application software package installation, configuration and maintenance.

Provides 24-hour production support to assigned systems.



Minimum Position Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience is required

* Professional Experience: 5+ Years



* IT Skills: Experience designing and implementing web-based user interfaces (HTML/DHTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript and similar experience)

* Practical familiarity with service-oriented architecture and associated standards (SOAP, XML, XSLT, WSDL, etc.) required

* SQL (Oracle or MS-SQL Server)

* A strong grasp of CRM, Composite Application Framework, and Business Process Automation concepts required

* Familiarity with Unix and Windows-based operating systems

* Knowledge of Microsoft desktop and client/server environments.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite tools

* Directory Services (Active Directory) experience preferred

* IIS, Apache, Tomcat security experience preferred

* webMethods Portal 6.5/7.1 experience preferred



* Languages: JAVA skills required

* ASP skills desirable



* Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment

* Ability to manage time effectively between multiple, concurrent projects with competing priorities to meet established deadlines Strong verbal and writing skills to address a wide range of needs and audiences
