Role:

Senior Systems Analyst / Team Lead for the product development team.  The candidate will have to interact with business and product analysts to understand requirements and design and code technical solutions. He/she will also lead a group of developers for software project enhancements, new functionalities and bug fixes.  MUST BE LOCAL TO VERNON HILLS, IL.

 

Responsibilities:

· Software design and development; responsible for new releases

· Lead team developers and manage projects through project life cycle

· Design and code programs for software enhancements and bug fixes

· Troubleshoot production problems related to Java

· Design and write technical requirements, impact analysis and implementation approach documents

· Identify and implement solutions to improve product stability and architecture

 

Qualifications & Characteristics:

· Ability to work independently on projects assigned; no need for daily monitoring by supervisor

· Basic knowledge in Core Java, JSP, Servlets, Struts and Javascript

· Capabilities with Tomcat, Websphere or any J2EE application server

· Expert level understanding of database design, modeling and data structures

· Strong capabilities with PLSQL programming language, SQL to query Oracle database and DML statements

· 4+ years in team lead role in software development for commercial software product with web interface

· BS/BA degree required;  formal project management training a plus

· Java or Oracle Developer certification a plus

 

Related Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities and Experience:

· Must possess ownership mentality and positive responsibility traits

· Unix/Linux knowledge a plus

· Good written and oral communication skills

 

Job Performance Experience:

· Healthcare industry experience preferred, but not a must

· Ability to work in a close team environment and with all company levels

· Takes pride in a job well done, ownership mentality, responsible

· Strong ability to remain focused under pressure while maintaining positive attitude
