Position Summary:

SchemaLogic is looking for an experienced and passionate specialist who enjoys coding and technical writing.  This person will be responsible for crafting our SDK documentation, sample applications using the SDK, and other product related content such as API definitions and tutorials/training materials.  This person must also be able to define a documentation plan, create a schedule, and foster working relationships with all the members of the product team.  A successful candidate must be able to define content for both conceptual and reference materials using documentation guidelines and to work from specifications, source code, header files, developer interviews and other sources.  This person is the customer advocate and owner of our SDK.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Excellent writing and communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Java, C#, XML, and SQL required.  Ability to write sample code is a must. A strong aptitude to quickly learn complex technical concepts. Solid problem-solving skills. A proven track record of managing and delivering complex documentation projects.The ability to identify common customer scenarios and to write content that supports the scenarios.

 

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a communications-related field, information technology, or equivalent, 5 or more years of experience developing assistance content for Developers in a variety of delivery formats including Web articles and SDKs.Experienced with a combination of both Java Open Source and Microsoft development Platforms (MSDE, .Net Framework, ASP.Net, etc.) and specifically Windows SharePoint Services.Experience with Adobe Framemaker is a plus.Experienced in the application and use of SharePoint 2007. Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with significant experience writing detailed Market Requirements Documents. Strong interpersonal skills, able to effectively interact with technical teams to extract information and get feedback. BA in Management Information Systems or MS/BS Computer Science (Advance degree preferred).
