Experience and skills 

• Has at least 5 years working in a software product development environment.
• Demonstrates strong technical communications skills: writing, illustration, analysis and organization, document design, and project planning and management.
• Demonstrates skill with at least one programming language, plus some or all of the following: SQL, C#, .Net, HTML, XML, XSL, and JavaScript.
• Possesses basic understanding of object-oriented design and development techniques.
General responsibilities
• Working with the Development managers, develop and document standards and guidelines for NaviNet developers.
• Maintain a clear, prioritized understanding of the informational needs of the NaviNet developers, for all stages of their careers (initial training and ramp-up, transitions between projects and customers, ongoing reference needs, etc.). 

Developer documentation responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain NaviNet developers' documentation, comprising how-to instructions, standards and guidelines.
• Develop and maintain internal and external versions of API documentation.
• Work with senior engineers and architects to produce and maintain useful and useable overview information and examples.
• Develop and maintain standards for commenting and documenting NaviNet code.
• Work with the Development managers to develop and maintain materials and resources to support an efficient new developer training program.
• Develop processes and, wherever possible, automated methods for capturing, organizing, and publishing information that improves the efficiency of NaviMedix software development. 

Other documentation responsibilities 

• Develop and maintain HTML and JavaScript-based NaviNet sales demos and project prototypes.
• Provide writing, editorial, and information design advice and services to NaviMedix colleagues.
