Senior Technology Project Manager
Monster is seeking a talented Senior Technology Project Manager to joing our Global PMO department.Position is responsible for developing, and implementing high quality and effective processes, procedures and systems for the Global Project Management Office (PMO). Position is responsible for organizing and implementing effective ideas and concepts of a high performance PMO to move the organization to a higher level Capability Maturity Model (CMM) - focused on delivering global projects on time, on budget and on spec – per plan. Position is also responsible for effectively working with other world wide Monster project and product offices, project and product leaders, and project and product managers to normalize, optimize and standardize project and product processes, procedures, tools and documentation. Position is also responsible for leading the design, development, or implementation of application systems as required building out and supporting the Global PMO. Essential Functions: Survey and analyze current processes and procedures; design, develop and implement global, standard and normalized project management processes and procedures. Design, develop, implement, and monitor compliance of new global project management templates across Technology, Product and Monster Worldwide. Evaluate current project and development practices, define gap between current and best practices. Develop transformation plan to achieve best practices and increase CMM level in project and development practices. Evaluate current testing and quality assurance practices, define gap between current and best practices. Work with Quality Assurance and Testing teams to develop transformation plan to achieve best practices and increase CMM level for Quality Assurance and Testing. Evaluate current resource planning processes, define gap between current and best practices. Work with development teams to develop transformation plan to achieve best practices and increase CMM level for resource planning. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance of processes and procedures to improve time reporting and feedback to budget systems and future resource planning. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance of global project reporting processes and project status reporting. Develop, implement, and monitor compliance of global project metrics reporting and feedback to provide continuous improvement in processes and procedures. Work with others to approve and implement polices and procedures as required. Assist in annual operating, capital and strategic planning process as required. Provide ongoing training and guidance to project managers throughout the organization on the use of PMO processes and procedures. Develop and implement global ‘basic’ PM training for Technology, Product and Monster Worldwide. Lead technical implementation projects as required to meet global PMO responsibilities. Qualifications: BS or Masters in Computer science or MBA required. 7 to 10 years of successful project management / project leadership in an internet development environment. Significant experience in developing and implementing a Project Management Office Global project / program management experience strongly preferred. Solid working experience with structured methodologies including project management, capability maturity model and systems development life cycle. Strong experience in synthesizing those structured methodologies and developing processes and standards. Experience in leading teams from current state to future state. Excellent analytical, interpersonal, presentation, communication and team work skills. Able to stay focused and deliver results.
