Senior Test Development Engineer

We are looking for an expert Senior Test Development Engineer with responsibilities including the design, development and execution of quality assurance programs for the Compliant Enterprise architecture. The candidate must possess a passion for the science of ascertaining quality and performance for mission-critical system and infrastructure software. A pragmatic and positive attitude coupled with a lead-by-example style is also required.

Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests. Thoroughly understand the product and participate in design reviews. Maintain documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Monitor results of test execution, analyze failures and work closely with development to identify and isolate defects. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Skills and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a B.S degree in engineering. 5-8 years experience in QA; whitebox, blackbox, and automation required. Extensive knowledge of the development lifecycle and QA processes. Experience testing client/server architecture and web server architecture. Experience in designing, developing, and executing test cases for complex, large enterprise products. Expert with Test Director and Quick TestPro automation tools (SilkTest). Strong knowledge of scripting languages, such as Perl, TcL, VBScript. Experience with source control and development environments (Perforce, VSS); can use the development environment to accomplish project goals. Proficient in programming using C/C++ or Java required. Very strong command of Linux and Windows operating systems. Very strong DB knowledge (tasks highly involve database validation--e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL). Previous Experience with SDK testing. Experience with Stress/load testing is a plus.
