Senior Treasury Analyst

Be an integral part of a small corporate finance team within Microsoft’s treasury organization. Corporate finance is responsible for issues pertaining to capital structure, dilution management, short and long term cash flow and balance sheet modeling, buy back analysis and implementation, structured investments and ad hoc projects. The Manager will play a strong part in the corporate finance function; in the strategy, planning and execution of team’s commitments and deliverables. The ideal candidate is a self starter, a proven performer, with strong business acumen, planning, coordinating and analysis skills. Primary responsibilities include:Monitor and support the employee stock option program, interacting with Accounting and Human Resources Lead Dilution Management and share count forecast process for Corporate Finance Liaise with other corporate functions such as corporate planning, statutory accounting to gather and process information on income statement items, future investments, stock award vesting and other items impacting the company’s cash balance Working with business group CFOs and controllers calculating WACC and sum of the parts for FAS 142 purposes Actively participate in the discussion on the optimal capital structure including cost of capital analysis Participate in evaluation and modeling of new structured investment transactions. Responsible for the tracking and post-close monitoring of the structured investment portfolio.Planning, analyzing and implementation of ad hoc corporate finance/capital structure projects Lead execution of buyback program including liaising with Legal & Corporate Affairs, Investor Relations, Corporate Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis and brokers and develop strategies and mechanisms; support technical and accounting review of buyback strategies including derivatives Lead Treasury's role in various structure investment projects Prepare reports and deliver presentations to senior management In addition the candidateMust be able to plan, analyze and execute ad hoc projects with minimal guidance Has ability to respond in high pressure situations involving the completion of deliverables in short timeframes Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving skills and attention to detail and accuracy of data Ability to multi-task and effectively manage priorities Excellent inter-personal skills and ability to work with business units; ability to influence without direct authority Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams Experience with 10b 18 and 10b-5-1 programs preferred; some experience in implementing share buyback (trading) highly desirable Requirements/Qualifications:Minimum 4-5 years with a strong background in modelling and financial analysis Minimum BA/BS degree with significant coursework/education in finance, accounting or mathematics, MBA strongly preferred Understanding of GAAP accounting/financial analysis and of accounting and tax inter-dependencies Very strong Excel, financial modeling & presentation proficiency required Microsoft offers an excellent benefits package to full-time employees including medical, dental, vacation, employee stock purchase plan, and 401k, plus some great extras including: our 24-hour nurse line, stay fit program, product discounts, and paid infant care leave.
