Server Technical Lead

Job Description:  This position requires an individual with IT expertise in all areas of operational support related to backup and recovery supporting a heterogeneous environment. The candidate will work in the Technology and Processing Services - Server Integration Group as part of the Storage Management Staff. The candidate will interact with technicians, network engineers, system administrators and project managers. Beneficial Endorsements:Certification in EMC’s product family & pertinent applicationsCertification in IBM’s Tivoli Storage Management -back-up scheduling application Success Factors:+ Must be self-reliant, self-starting and willing to involve corporate staff when needed+ The candidate should have excellent communication and analytical skills+ Must have strong organizational & practical problem-solving skills+ Strong project management and excellent documentation skills Required Skills:PFPC is currently looking for a Lead Server Technician in the Westboro office.The ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years hands-on experience: provisioning, administering and supporting both the Storage Area Network & back-up environments. Familiarity with the following products is necessary:- Legato Networker?- EMC’s PowerPath- EMC’s Navisphere- Storage Area Network- EMC’s FC & CX lines of DASD- Cisco SAN switch Strong backup, recovery methodologies, SAN management, networking and troubleshooting skills are required. Candidate should also be familiar with Novell, Windows & Red Hat at a high level.
