This position requires an independent and organized individual with technical background in Server Technologies & Development, Storage, and Fibre Channel technologies and some leadership skills . It also requires an organized and self-motivated engineer who can work independently with other engineers and cross-functional teams.The candidate will be responsible for quality assurance of Mac OS X Server and storage products, identifying and driving resolution of quality issues. Specific tasks may include reading and understanding Functional & Design Specs, developing and carrying out test plans, tool development and working with developers in problem isolation. The candidate must have strong communication skills, be able to lead some cross-functional relationships and deliverables, and the ability to drive issues to resolution.Required Experience:* BSCS or related field * 3+ years experience in Software development, Server and Storage testing * Strong knowledge of UNIX and some knowledge of Linux and Windows.* Extensive experience with server technologies and applications* Extensive experience with storage technologies, Cluster file systems, FC fabrics and SAN solutions* Extensive understanding of problem isolation, writing test plans or test matrices, SQA testing methodologies, and debugging.* Experience writing shell scripts and/or programming in C, C++, or Objective C to write simple to complex automated test tools.* Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.Preferred Experience:* Experience with Mac OS X, Apple Xserve, Xserve RAID and Xsan products desired* Experience with the Windows platform is a plus* BSCS or related field* 3+ years experience in Software development, Server and Storage testing Perk #56: New ways to stretch your mind.
