SharePoint Administrator

County of Lancaster has an immediate opening for a full-time SharePoint Administrator to assist in addressing SharePoint needs of internal business customers. You will stay engaged with business strategy and operations of various departments to ensure that decisions with technology implications are addressed with the appropriate solution (SharePoint or other software).

Your responsibilities include:

70% SharePoint Administration
30% Business Systems Analyst work

· Subject Matter expert for SharePoint

· Assist other Business Analysts with SharePoint projects

· Provide technical consultation and direction to departments looking for tools to address business challenges or to streamline processes

· Primary contact for communication regarding SharePoint best practices, processes, policies, and education

· Key contributor to the future vision of the tools and capabilities of SharePoint so that it aligns with priorities of IT and users of SharePoint

· Provide SharePoint implementation guidance and consulting to the business and community of site owners regarding site design, collaboration, project team communications, and content management strategies

· Oversee the site request process: review submittals, ensure site creation

· Manage planning and oversight of multiple projects and tasks

· Coordinate and facilitate the improvement of processes, sharing best practices, soliciting feature enhancement priorities, and communicating next steps in the use of tools for collaboration and content management

· Serve as a technical advisor, participating in the design of the SharePoint enterprise; e.g., site templates, portal design, as well as content management capabilities

· Lead a SharePoint User Group (team of site owners) whose purpose is to promote appropriate usage of SharePoint (meet regularly to share ideas, provide subject matter expertise in the use of SharePoint features, tips and tricks, etc.)

· Advocate for current and future capabilities of SharePoint

· Understand support of business applications, and as determined, provide basic application support and issue resolution

The ideal candidate will have -Minimum of 2 years experience as a SharePoint Administrator or Business Analyst, Business Process Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or equivalent Extensive SharePoint MOSS 2007 or SharePoint 2003 experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology or related field of study, Work related experience may substitute for technical degree Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of computer systems, hardware and software operations and principles Strong foundations of both technology and business processes are essential Basic Knowledge of XML, XML Schema, MSSQL Server, IIS, and Web Services Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels with the organization and with external parties

Work schedule -  Monday through Friday, 8:30 to 5:00, no travel
