SharePoint Consultant
Our client is Seeking a SharePoint Consultant.
This person will be responsible for the following:
*Providing leadership for the management of SharePoint infrastructure, including SharePoint application, database, and search index servers.
*Trouble-shooting and resolving issues, such as SharePoint event log errors
*Providing leadership and inputs on SharePoint configuration and management, such as database sizing, quotas, access control, etc.
*Developing and publicizing standards and best practices in relation to the configuration and management of the SharePoint platform.
*Locating and evaluating add-on products needed to meet a wide variety of user needs, such as roll-ups, offline synchronization tools
*Maintaining internal document libraries and a Knowledge Base of information for support staff
*Investigating and recommending new SharePoint functionality including workflow, wikis and blogs, multilingual configurations, regional implementations of SharePoint, Search, etc
*Managing and supporting the deployment of SharePoint team sites in both lead and supporting team roles
*Engaging with internal business customers to define requirements. Analyzing business processes, particularly those involving collaboration and/or document management, and design and develop appropriate SharePoint functionality to support those processes and meet business needs
*Providing end-user training on SharePoint
*Developing and publicizing standards and best practices in relation to the design and use of SharePoint
*Developing user documentation and managing a SharePoint User Group website.
*Working closely with other team members in a variety of roles to ensure tasks are accomplished.
*Providing formal and informal training for SharePoint users, and liaise with users at all levels, to help ensure successful implementations
*Providing follow-up coaching and ad hoc support to resolve specific issues and encourage effective use of SharePoint features
In order to qualify for this position:
*Familiarity with MS Designer
*Expertise in developing webparts for SharePoint as well as .Net applications utilizing SharePoint, Visual Studio, and Windows Workflow Foundation (WFF).
*Strong Knowledge Management experience using Sharepoint Server 2007, Windows Sharepoint Services 3.0, SharePoint search, collaboration tools, enterprise content management and
*Strong technical skills that include SharePoint, SQL server, windows server, familiarity with SQL Server relational database
*Project leadership experience; proficiency in the analysis, design, implementation and enhancement aspects of projects, including user requirements gathering, design, and development.
*Excellent communications and writing (including documentation) skills
