Siebel Business Integration Lead profile:

 Position requires solid logic-knowledge of system capabilities without necessarily the ability to program Role entails periodic execution and / or creation of system reconciliations to ensure data integrity. Facilitate cross team interaction and discussion to ensure integration points are reviewed. Assess periodic reconciliations are current and noted errors are corrected either through defined processes Ability to conceptualize how to construct reconciliations of large data sets in order to perform reconciliations and related analysis Skill in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to key business users. Strong knowledge and understanding of the business and related dynamics, with ability to establish and maintain high level of customer trust and confidence Ability to work independently and with others to conceptualize and formulate solutions utilizing new and evolving technologies Leverages strong analytical skills to identify issues with possible solution in the area of business integration processes. Establish strong relationships with key business users and facilitate communications between the business users and the analysts. Provide production support in researching / resolving system issues or data anomalies Proven track record in projects and the delivery of high quality work products Ability to make effective process design decisions with the appropriate level of information and ability to formulate appropriate questions in order to gather information Must be tenacious, have a `can-do` attitude and drive for results Solid understanding of software development process, including requirements gathering, analysis and design, development, release and version control, testing methodologies and deployment approach Possess effective written, verbal and graphical communications skills, inter-personal and leadership skills Must have the ability to work well under pressure, to communicate and work effectively with team members, users and support areas and to manage many activities at once Understanding of consumers goods sales and trade concepts is a plus

 

Education/Certification:

 Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience of 7 years minimum, is required. MBA degree or equivalent related project management experience is desirable

 

Computer Skills:

 Must know Microsoft Office suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access), Siebel (Functional), Business Objects (Functional) - for data reconciliation and reporting purposes, SAP SD, FI, COPA, CRM (Functional) will be Plus, Good understanding of Relational Database/SQL Experience

He is not considering Siebel development experience. He is looking more towards Admin side There is no specific requirement to use a tool but he/she should be able to use existing Siebel application and web servers infrastructure, Oracle Infrastructure ( Enterprise Mgt with Siebel plug-in) OR any other means to monitor the application/server/web server/processes etc. The monitoring will be for Network connection, EAI connections, Object Manager performance, DB processes, application process, memory monitoring, overall system performance, use of SARM etc

The Solution Architect is involved with implementation teams, is able to guide the implementation teams on what Siebel Best Practices are  is able to guide coding process .. .overall he should be able to ensure the implementation teams are doing the right things. E.g. Calculated Values is a very well know best practice that Siebel recommends... any Siebel Architect should know about it. Development teams should never violate this best practice that's the type of person client wants. Also Siebel 8.0 implementation experience is a must.

 Expertise in Siebel Configuration, e-Scripting, Workflows/Assignment Manager. Expertise UCM/Analytics/Configurator/Pricing or Sales & Marketing or Service modules - Functional process expertise for Sales & Marketing person Has good depth & breadth of Siebel Architecture and experience of Interfacing with multiple systems. Good Understanding of the Oracle database, networking, UNIX, Sun Solaris and Middleware(s). Same as before - Experience in Unix platform and Oracle as a database Be a strong team player with good technical leadership in various areas of Siebel and across different external systems/middle-tier interfaces for both Service & ITO Platforms as part of the BA Center Of Excellence (COE). Major responsibilities include: Responsible for understanding the existing Architecture and drive all the future organization wide architecture initiatives aligning to Siebel. Review the technical design across multiple projects and see to that there are no conflicts and also ensure that the solution meets best practices both internal/external to Siebel. Provide Technical Expertise from the architectural perspective to the development team. Responsible for making sure the development team meets all the compliance guidelines and all the security measures have been taken care successfully, especially when the Siebel application is exposed outside the firewall. Responsible for collaborating with internal/external teams resolving technical issues and drive the best practices. Provide regular updates to the Manager on status of the assigned activities and ensure delivery on time based on the proposed plans with focus on quality.
