Position Summary:

We’re looking for an experienced Software Architect with the breadth and depth of knowledge necessary to develop the vision for our application infrastructure, select the tools and technologies to be used in developing enterprise applications, establish methods and standards for the development team, as well as lead and participate in development efforts.


Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ensuring that our underlying technology meets both our short-term business needs and our long-term business strategy; ensuring that system design can adapt to emerging business and technology demands. Designing and developing database-driven multi-tier web applications using object-oriented methodology. Implementing a complete software development life cycle experience, including implementation process. Owning design deliverables and being an individual contributor for a team that will consist of various subject matter experts. Developing complex yet pragmatic, business-driven solutions which require phased implementation. Collaborating cross functionally to understand business requirements and translate them into a system design.

 

This position requires the following skills and experience:MS in Computer Science with 8+ years of industry experience or BS in Computer science with 10+ years of industry experience Demonstrated ability to architect, design, and develop large-scale mission critical software applications. 6+ years solid experience with J2EE development 3+ years experience with Web Services technologies (SOAP, WS-*) and Service Oriented Architecture Experience with IOC frameworks (preferably Spring), ORM mapping tools (preferably Hibernate) and MVC technologies Experience with JavaScript and Ajax Experience with Message Queuing technologies (preferably JMS) Experience with Agile software development methodologies, Test Driven Development methodology, and requirements for Continuous Integration Experience with design patterns, modeling tools such as UML and database design concepts Experience with heterogeneous multi-language development environments (Perl, PHP, Ruby or Python)Experience with with at least one major Application Server (JBoss, BEA Weblogic, Websphere, …) in a mission critical environment Experience integrating with 3rd-party data systems (e.g., credit card processing, vendor fulfillment, etc.)Knowledge of computer network infrastructures, technologies and protocols Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to mentor individuals and interact as the member of a team
