Software Build Specialist

CTG is looking for a Software Build Specialist with the skills listed below. This is an ongoing/long term contract position in the RTP, NC area. If you are interested, please send your resume to Jamie.Robinson@ctg.com .  Only qualified candidates will be contacted. Job Description:***Both 7am-7pm and 7pm-7am shifts required***The person in this role will compile, assemble, and deliver source code to Development & Support professionals, Test teams and ultimately to customers. Build Specialists formulate and execute repeatable processes through automation and documentation. They provide logs and reports describing build status and stability to other members of the software development organization. They perform high-level initial testing to verify that builds meet an established quality benchmark. They must be knowledgeable about multiple operating systems and platforms. They must also be familiar with appropriate scripting languages, tools supporting build and test automation, and configuration management systems. Requires excellent troubleshooting and code debugging skills to get to the root cause of a build failure in the shortest time possible. SkillsFamiliarity with the following languages/utilities: Perl, Java, C++, nMake, Ant.Must be knowledgeable about multiple operating systems and cross platform environments.Extensive knowledge of source control management systems such as ClearCase, CMVC, etc. requires a deeper knowledge of these tools than a typical developer has.Must have hands-on experience with compile, build, test, package, and source control tools, in addition to a high level vision of how they all fit into the overall process.
