Software Configuration Management Engineer

TEOCO, The Employee Owned Company, is seeking a Software Configuration Management Engineer for our Communications & Entertainment (C&E) Solutions line of business. The successful candidate will refine our Software Configuration Management (SCM) strategy, manage our software test lab, and manage software build processes.  Key responsibilities of this position include:

 Manage our SCM policies and environment.  Create and maintain an SCM Plan.  Manage the SCM repositories. Provide SCM support to developers, testers, and project management.  Obtain, install, and configure third party software components

Establish and manage controlled software test environments that support SDLC test activities including integration, system, and performance testing.  Coordinate test resource requirements with project managers.

Establish an automated continuous integration environment.  Maintain build and packaging scripts for J2EE, .NET, VB6, and other application components.

Administer our change management system and process.

Support the release process by working with developers to resolve merge conflicts. 

Generate software builds and packages to support development, test, and release activities.  Produce software build/release notes.  Troubleshoot build and deployment issues.

Identify and implement process improvement opportunities.

Supervise of our SCM team.

Set up software development and test environments. 

Required Experience:

 

The successful candidate will have the ability to Drive the implementation of SCM Best Practices in a small, though geographically distributed, commercial project environment.Transition and Enforce SCM policies within the development group.Work independently, incorporating the needs of other teams within the organization.Lead a small SCM team.Multi-Task, and handle unexpected issues as they arise.Communicate effectively with management, technical staff, and customers (strong written and oral communication skills).



Technical Experience Requirements:5+ years Software Development Life Cycle 2+ years SCM System administration (AccuRev or ClearCase UCM preferred)1+ years VSS administration2+ years Trouble Ticket System administration (HEAT, c.support preferred)4+ years Build Engineering 4+ years Administering Linux and Windows Applications4+ years Java, J2EE, Ant, Perl, distributed systems CVS, VB, .NET, IIS experience a plusVirtual Machine experience a plusWorking with geographically distributed development teams a plus

Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree (concentration in Computer Science or related discipline preferable)
